12 Bridge Ciderworks new Imperial Dry Cider raises funds for Houseless Veterans
Oregon City, Oregon’s Veteran-Owned company 12 Bridge Ciderworks has teamed up with local charity Do Good Multnomah to assist veterans experiencing houselessness. In honor and celebration of Veterans Day (11/11) and the Marine Corps' Birthday (11/10), 12 Bridge’s is releasing Hard To The Corps: Desert Dry Imperial to help raise funds, and is inviting draft accounts to participate in the promotion to help our veterans.
Hard To The Corps is 12 Bridge’s first ever imperial dry apple cider, weighing in at a huge 9.5% ABV. Making it required two separate fermentations that would later be blended together; one made with an English ale yeast and the other a white wine yeast. In the end, this cider has a touch of maltiness that beer drinkers crave and an unexpectedly smooth, crisp, clean dry finish that cider enthusiasts love.
How The Fundraiser Works
12 Bridge’s asks and encourages each participating company to make a set donation or percent donation based on the amount of cider sold for the month of November. For example, at their OC taproom, they will be donating $1.00 for every 12oz pour sold and have a donation bucket out on the bar, they are also offering to provide a donation bucket for any bar or taproom that wants to participate in this cause with direct cash donations. Participants will donate directly to Do Good Multnomah, to allow them to provide proper tracking and receipts for the donation. To support participants’ efforts, 12 Bridge’s will also provide signage to help explain the cider and the fundraiser's mission. Finally they will also make donation cans available when they deliver your keg, for those who want to put them out in their establishment to allow customers to make additional cash donations for Do Good Multnomah.
