Reveille Ciderworks relocates to the Fort George Brewery Campus
Astoria, Oregon’s Reveille Ciderworks is relocating from their existing location at 1343 Duane St next to Reach Break Brewing to the former Fernhill Glass Studio next to Fort George Brewing. The building is perched above the brewery and directly adjacent to the Fort George Gardens on Exchange Street. The new location will enable the company to increase their cider production and open a new expanded cider taphouse with an outdoor patio.
The new location for Reveille Ciderworks is less than 200 yards east of its current location and near the Fort Astoria monument --the site of the original Fort Astoria, the first American-owned settlement on the Pacific coast of North America, established in 1811. The Fernhill Glass Studio was a beloved part of the campus and was tapped for demonstrations and performances every year during Festival of the Dark Arts. Fernhill Glass closed in the early days of the pandemic and Fort George Brewery owns the building. Construction on the new location will begin in November, with an opening projected for early Q1, 2022.
“When selecting our future location, it was important to everyone that the cidery remain in Astoria,” said company founder, Jeremy Towsey-French. “Navigating a worldwide pandemic, we were unsure of our prospects moving forward, but thanks to the continued support of our customers, partners and community, we survived --and now we can thrive. We will sincerely miss our friends at the Astoria Station Duane Street location, however this move will ensure that we are remaining true to our business goals as well as our values by producing and distributing everything from our Astoria headquarters.”
As part of the company’s expansion, Reveille will shift primary focus to an expanded fleet of kegged products for distribution in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Individual packaged products will also be available in limited quantities, primarily from the new Reveille taphouse, as well as select retailers.
Fort George Distribution is the distributor of record for Reveille hard cider in Clatsop and Tillamook counties, as well as Pacific County in Southwest Washington. For sales of Reveille cider outside of these counties, please contact sales@astoriacider.com.
