About de Garde Brewing

Since 2013, de Garde Brewing has been dedicated to spontaneous fermentation, drawing on historic European traditions, with local innovation. Their beer is naturally fermented and aged for years in large oak barrels, using strictly native yeast and bacteria and regionally sourced ingredients. They are proudly the first brewery in the United States devoted to this traditional method and truly wild fermentation.

The brewery specializes in funky, multi-year blends evoking a sense of place, and characterful compositions incorporating the agricultural bounty of the region. In more recent years, de Garde has begun producing wine under their de Garde Cellars label. As with their beer, the goal is to encourage wine that speaks of a specific time and place. They practice gentle, low intervention winemaking, using only exceptional grapes from premium vineyards in the region, native yeast fermentation, and extended aging in large, neutral oak barrels.

Since its founding, de Garde has been 100% family owned and operated by its founders, Linsey Rogers (President) and Trevor Rogers (Head Brewer). In 2017, they completed renovation and expansion of a historic building for their current brewery and tasting room, located at 114 Ivy Avenue in Tillamook. The tasting room welcomes guests with indoor and outdoor seating, and a broad selection of beer and wine.
