Alesong Brewing & Blending releases Pinot Noir
Eugene, Oregon’s acclaimed oak barrel and fruited mixed-culture ale driven Alesong Brewing & Blending is getting into vino with their second ever wine: Pinot Noir. After launching its wine program last fall with an oak-aged Pinot Gris, they have now completed and bottled a 2022 vintage from Dundee Hills AVA grapes that aged in French oak for over a year. Alesong’s first Pinot Noir is refined and food-friendly, with mild acidity and notes of delicate berry and spice. Alesong Pinot Noir reflects the patient and artistic approach that defines all of the blendery’s beverages.
“After releasing our ‘22 Pinot Gris in the Fall, we’ve been looking forward to the ’22 Pinot Noir release for some time,” says founder and production manager, Brian Coombs. “The Dundee Hills terroir is my favorite in Oregon and our wine is a great representation of its characteristic spice and earthiness. Aging for over a year in French Oak adds great tannin structure to complement the acidity and makes this wine really food friendly.”
