Pearlfest 2024 Portland Pearl District Beer & Arts Fest
Northwest Portland’s pearl district has it’s own beer fest, established in 2023, the 2nd annual Pearl District Beer & Arts Fest is taking place July 27th and 28th 2024. The festival was created by Washington based Backwoods Brewing (which has a location in the pearl) and Bend, Oregon based Deschutes Brewery (which operates a brewpub in the pearl), and promises delicious food trucks, talented local artists, and vibrant live music.
Deschutes Brewery and Backwoods Brewing Company are teaming up once again to celebrate the rich history of beer in Portland, this time with a special brew, Pearl Pals Neighborhood Lager. This true neighborhood collaboration is a crisp, refreshing dry-hopped lager with an ABV of 5% and an IBU of 35. Its light malt body is complemented by experimental hops, offering bright notes of citrus, ripe tropical fruit, and peach—perfect for a hot summer day.
Pearl Pals Neighborhood Lager
The Backwoods and Deschutes team of brewers decided to keep one common thread from last year’s Over the River and to the Woods Hazy IPA brew, the HBC 586 hop. HBC 586 is one of the most popular experimental hops currently in the market and is a combination of several different hops. It has a complex flavor and aroma profile, with notes of tropical fruit, citrus, coconut, and vanilla. It's honestly the perfect hop for a tropical-style summer Lager.
With an ABV of 5% and an IBU of 35, this crisp, and refreshing dry hopped lager, perfect for sipping on a hot summer day. The light malt body is complimented by experimental hops that provide bright notes of citrus, ripe tropical fruit, and peach.
This year, a portion of the proceeds benefit SOLVE Oregon, a non-profit organization dedicated to uniting thousands in Oregon and Southwest Washington to restore and protect our environment for future generations.
