Sierra Nevada Celebration IPA returns along with rare Celly Drippins variant

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. has set October 13 as the official ship date for the 2025 edition of Celebration “Fresh Hop” IPA. Fans will start seeing the highly anticipated seasonal beer on shelves throughout the second half of the month as it rolls out across the country. Brewed to commemorate and celebrate the year’s hop harvest season, the beer showcases the intensified hop flavor and aroma from the freshly completed 2025 hop harvest with whole-cone hops that are rarely used in large quantities these days.

“Hop harvest is always an exciting time for our brewery teams, the farmers and for the craft beer community. It’s rooted in tradition and there’s a notable celebratory feeling in the air,” said Brian Grossman, Chief Brewer and second-generation brewery owner at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. “Celebration Fresh Hop IPA represents pride and passion in every stage of the beer making process, from farming to brewing to serving. Each pour is a celebration and we’re proud of every last drop.”

First brewed in 1981, the beer is known for its hop-forward flavors and aromas and for being well-balanced with the slight biscuity sweetness of caramel malt. It is also one of the most well-known, longest running examples of a winter seasonal IPA. With hops from the latest harvest expected to fade more quickly, Celebration is recommended to be enjoyed for the full depth of flavor and aroma but is known to cellar well in refrigeration temperatures.

With the brewing of Celebration Fresh Hop IPA comes Sierra Nevada’s rarest offering, Celly Drippins. New for 2025, Celly Drippins will be available at both the Mills River, NC and Chico, CA brewery locations for draft pours November 21 – 24. First pours of Celly Drippins will be served on November 21 at 3 pm local time in each location. A limited quantity will be poured each day until that day’s allotment runs out. Celly Drippins can only be enjoyed on site as no crowlers or growlers of the beer will be offered. What is Celly Drippins? It is made from the drippings of the dry-hop bags used to make Celebration Fresh Hop IPA. Celly Drippins is a more concentrated, hoppy version of Celebration and is regarded as Sierra Nevada’s rarest offering because only a small handful of barrels are produced each year.
