Beaverton’s Binary Brewing celebrates 3rd Anniversary
Beaverton, Oregon’s only homegrown brewery, BinaryBrewing.co, will host their 3rd anniversary party on Saturday, August 9th from 4pm-9pm. The event celebrates three years of business in Downtown Beaverton. Binary plans to release three collaboration Anniversary beers as well as feature various other activities.
More from Binary Brewing’s announcement:
BinaryBrewing.co began brewing in 2018 in a tiny brewspace at Uptown Beer Co. in SW Portland. As demand grew and the brand developed a reputation, the brewery outgrew its small beginnings. The former Beaverton Bakery building allowed Binary to expand and join the growing Downtown Beaverton neighborhood. After a major remodel of the historical Bakery, Binary officially opened its doors on Broadway in July 2022.
Since its Beaverton debut, the BinaryBrewing.co pub has achieved significant growth and navigated changes in the community. TeriyakiMoto took over the kitchen in February, introducing a menu of fresh, Asian-inspired dishes. The pub launched a liquor program bringing in signature cocktails and mocktails for the first time. Binary has seen the neighborhood transform as construction wrapped up on nearby apartments and businesses. Joining Binary on Broadway as of this year is Dos Hermanos Bakery, Tito’s Taquitos, and Deadstock Coffee with Canard Bistro soon to follow.
Binary’s brewers also celebrated quite a few victories. In April, Binary took home a Gold Medal at the Oregon Beer Awards for the Fresh Hop Cones of Lorien. Their 404 Nut Brown English Ale also received recognition recently by winning Silver at International Craft Beer Awards as well as Gold on Untappd Oregon. Binary has now signed on full time with Day One Distribution, so you can try their award winning beer in taprooms, bottleshops, and grocery stores across the area.
“How the time flies! I can't believe it's been three years since our first batch in Beaverton,” says Binary co-founder and owner, Josh Johnson, “It has been incredible to be part of such a great community. Seeing new life breathed into the old bakery has been very rewarding”. “We are really excited to be kicking off our third year on Broadway St, as the neighborhood fills out with new apartments, restaurants and bakeries, Beaverton's renaissance continues!” says Roger Wood, Binary’s Head Brewer and co-founder.
Binary’s Anniversary celebration kicks off at 4pm on Saturday, August 9th at the pub. Three specialty collaboration beers will be released for the event: a Mango Pale Ale with Xicha Brewing, a Hazy IPA with Ruse, and a Mexican Amber with Migration. DJ Velvet Ginger will be spinning vinyl from 5-8pm. Teriyakimoto will be rocking a bacon wrapped Senoran Hot Dog special in addition to their other menu offerings. You can also expect raffles, a slushie truck, giant jenga, and a group toast. The event is all ages, no ticket required.
