Portland Cider Co.’s Pear Lychee flavor is now year-round, and Concord Grape is back

Portland Cider Welcomes Back Concord Grape and Elevates Pear Lychee to Year-Round Status

Clackamas, Oregon-based Portland Cider Company has made their first big announcement of the year, as Concord Grape makes its comeback as their winter seasonal and Pear Lychee officially joins the cidery’s year-round core lineup. Both ciders were previously released as limited small-batch Proper Pint offerings and are now returning due to overwhelming demand.

Concord Grape: A Beloved Winter Seasonal Returns

Available January through April

Bursting with tangy grapes and fresh Northwest apples, Concord Grape tastes like it’s been plucked straight from the vine. This vibrant cider delivers a delightful balance of tart and sweet, blending sun-ripened Concord grapes with crisp NW apples for a refreshing yet cozy winter sip.

Grape-forward on the nose and palate, the initial taste showcases a nostalgic jammy Concord grape character, followed by a subtle, semi-sweet apple finish. Delicate carbonation enhances the fruit-forward profile without overpowering it.

At a sessionable 5.2% ABV, Concord Grape is bright, easy-drinking, and made for lingering moments. Its sweet-tart grape notes pair naturally with creamy goat cheeses, soft chèvre, and salty cured meats, making it an ideal choice for cozy nights in or casual get-togethers with friends. This cider also shines as a brunch-friendly pour, complementing savory crepes, quiche, and sausages–a playful alternative to the classic mimosa that still feels light, festive, and approachable.

“We’re excited to bring Concord Grape back as our winter seasonal,” said Jeff Parrish, co-owner of Portland Cider Company. “It’s bold, bright, and incredibly drinkable, and really hits the spot during these colder months.”

Pear Lychee: From Small Batch to Everyday Favorite

Now Available Year-Round

Also returning is Pear Lychee, now promoted to Portland Cider’s year-round core lineup. This cocktail-inspired hard cider blends juicy pears with exotic lychee for a harmonious, aromatic experience that feels both refreshing and indulgent.

Each sip opens with aromas of ripe pears and lush lychee, layered with subtle floral undertones. The juicy sweetness of pears leads the palate, followed by bright, tropical lychee notes and a crisp, refreshing finish balanced by gentle acidity.

Light, floral, and effortlessly versatile, Pear Lychee pairs beautifully with indulgent seafood dishes like oysters, scallops, or shrimp. Its aromatic profile also complements Thai or Southeast Asian-inspired cuisine, where the cider’s clean finish helps balance heat and layered spices. Elegant yet easy-drinking, Pear Lychee is designed for both casual sipping and elevated food moments.

“Pear Lychee quickly proved it deserved a permanent place in our lineup,” said Lynda Parrish, co-owner of Portland Cider Company. “It’s approachable, unique, and transports you somewhere warm and sunny, no matter the season.”

Both Concord Grape and Pear Lychee are available at retailers throughout the Pacific Northwest and on draft at Portland Cider Company’s Clackamas taproom. Cider fans can locate these and other Portland Cider offerings using the company’s online Cider Finder.
