Von Ebert launches Non-Alcoholic Hop Water series in cans

Portland’s acclaimed Von Ebert Brewing is branching out of beer for the first time with a new series of hop waters introduced to their line-up for Dry January. In an announcement, Von Ebert leaves the door open for additional non-beer beverages in the future as alcohol makers continue to diversify. A sneak peak at Von Ebert’s 2026 beer release calendar is available here.

Von Ebert’s three non-alcohol sparking hop waters, called Boost, Flow and Chill are the  first in the series, which will later include hard teas, hard fruit punch and hard seltzer,  among others, to offer variety and appeal to more legal-age drinkers.

“At Von Ebert Brewing, we believe in making our best beer but also evolving with the  changing tastes of customers,” said Jason Hansen, Director of Sensory and Innovation  at Von Ebert Brewing. “More people are drinking less and participating in Dry January – one of the hardest months already for most breweries even before the viral trend. Von  Ebert Brewing wanted to ensure customers have no excuse not to still come out and  visit us this month. We’re also excited to brew even more non-beer products throughout this year so we have something for everyone.”

The three non-alcohol sparkling hop waters, available in 12-ounce cans, are meant to  be drunk at three distinct parts of the day. For mornings, Boost Hop Water is citrus  flavored with 70 milligrams of caffeine. Flow Hop Water, with tropical favors, has  electrolytes to help you get through the afternoon. And Chill Hop Water, with berry and  floral flavors, is brewed with lavender and chamomile to unwind before bed.

Von Ebert Presents is a new series of non-beer offerings the brewery will produce  throughout 2026 to reach a wider audience with non-alcohol seltzers, hard teas, hard  fruit punch and hard seltzer, among others. Next on the docket will be hard tea this  spring.

Von Ebert Brewing’s recently opened N. Mississippi location (825 N. Cook St., Portland)  is now home to food truck Tehuana Mexican Cuisine every day of the week, in addition  to critically acclaimed, HarBQ on weekends. Beer drinking visitors at all three Von Ebert  Brewing locations can purchase 20-ounce steins of gold medal winning Clubhaus Lager  for $3 all day, every day. And at the N. Mississippi location, Volatile Substance NW IPA  is available for just $5 between noon to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The new brewing facility allows Von Ebert Brewing production and distribution to go  from 4,000 barrels per year to as much as 20,000 barrels per year and it’s more than halfway there adding these new offerings. Von Ebert Brewing now sells more of its  products in 12-ounce and 16-ounce cans and expanded its distribution throughout  Oregon, Washington, Colorado, California and Japan.

Von Ebert Brewing was founded in 2018 by Tom M. Cook and Tom S. Cook in Portland,  Oregon. Von Ebert Brewing is named after the family matriarch lovingly referred to as  “Grandma Ebert.”
