“Name That Brew” Winner Gets Beer-For-A-Year & Seasonal Stays at The Hotel Zags
PLS on Sixth at The Hotel Zags is raising a glass to creativity and community with the launch of its newest collaboration - a signature West Coast IPA brewed in partnership with Recluse Beer Works! To celebrate, the hotel is inviting the public to take part in a citywide “Name That Brew” contest, culminating in a lively Launch Party on April 23rd at The Zags.
From April 1-10 2026, beer enthusiasts and Portland locals alike can submit potential names for the exclusive new IPA online at plsonsixth.com/name-that-brew. A panel of industry judges will select the final Top Five Finalists, with the Grand Prize winner announced at the April 23rd launch party.
Prizes include:
Grand Prize: Free Beer for 1 year at PLS on Sixth (1 per visit), $100 PLS on Sixth gift card, Free Hotel Night each season for 1 year at The Hotel Zags (Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter)
2nd, 3rd & 4th Place: Gift Cards for PLS on Sixth, and other exclusive gifts from Recluse
The “Name That Brew” contest is open to participants 21 and over, and finalists will be notified in advance. The grand prize winner must be present at the April 23 event.
The Beer
A pale gold IPA (6.5% ABV) with tropical notes of starfruit, lime and mango. A touch of malt and moderately high bitterness, are balanced by a blend of three hops - Mosaic, Idaho 7 and New Zealand Cascade.
The Party
The Launch Party will be an energetic, community-driven celebration at The Hotel Zags’ playful Colosseum space, complete with a DJ and complimentary beer-themed food and beverage items.
