Occidental Brewing Barrel-Aged Lucubrator Doppelbock release and Pig Roast

Occidental Brewing in N. Portland's St. John's neighborhood is holding their annual Pig Roast and Barrel-Aged Lucubrator Doppelbock release on Saturday, March 23rd from 1-9pm.

Admission is free and $15 will get you a smoked pork sandwich, potato chips and a pint. Come out of your winter hibernation and celebrate with beers and lunch among friends. This is a 21+ event.Lucubrator is Occidental's award-winning doppelbock - a dark and rich malty lager with a perfect balance of caramel, melanoidin, and a touch of roast malt. Its initial, subtle sweetness mellows nicely with subsequent sips, and a pleasant alcohol finish makes for a nice winter warmer. This is a special barrel-aged version, that's released in limited amounts annually.
