Cascade Brewing is launching a Sour Slushie series of frozen sour fruit beers served at their SE Portland barrel house and original SW pub. Think of them as a reverse of the piping hot and mulled cherry sour Glueh Kriek they serve in winter, Sour Slushies debut next week on July 8th.

Going into 4th of July weekend, Cascade Brewing has a new barrel-aged sour wheat ale called Patio Paradise available now on draft and in 12oz cans. Patio Paradise has components aged oak barrels for up to 10 months then infused with hand-zested grapefruit peel, locally sourced fresh basil, ground coriander and Oregon coast sea salt.

Patio Paradise 4-packs and cases, and the Sour Slushie series will be available at Cascade Brewing Barrel House at 939 SE Belmont St. and at the Lodge at Cascade Brewing at 7424 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy. The cans will also be made available through Cascade Brewing’s distribution network and at its online store at CascadeBrewing.shop.

The rotating Sour Slushie series is a new summer seasonal program made from select Cascade sour ales, blended with fruit juices and presumably churned and frozen from a slushy machine. Eight-ounce snifter glasses of Sour Slushies will be sold at both Cascade pubs for a limited time.

Cascade Brewing Barrel House has opened its patio seating every Wednesday through Sunday from 3pm to 9pm (closed July 4). The Lodge at Cascade Brewing is now open for sit down seating on the patio and inside every Wednesday through Sunday from 12pm to 9pm (closed July 4 and July 5).

Cascade Brewing’s beers are collected by sour fans and connoisseurs around the world.
