Fremont Brewing releases Brewer’s Reserve ‘Southern Tropics Hazy IPA’
Seattle, Washington’s Fremont Brewing first limited release of 2026 Southern Tropics Hazy IPA, the latest in its Brewer’s Reserve series. Southern Tropics is a lush and expressive hazy IPA designed to deliver a blast of southern hemisphere sunshine in the heart of Seattle winter.
More from a press release:
Brewed with Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin Bliss hops as well as Riwaka Hop Kief dry hop, Southern Tropics leans heavily into guava, mango, papaya, and pineapple, supported by subtle layers of melon, nectarine, and berry, with a touch of resin and herbal dankness on the finish.
“This beer’s all about juice and balance,” said Fremont Brewing’s Director of Brewing Operations, Matt Lincoln. “Southern hemisphere hops give us these incredible tropical notes and when you layer in a pillowy malt bill and fine-tuned bitterness, you get something that drinks soft, bright and complex. It’s a midwinter vacation in a can.”
Southern Tropics clocks in at 7.4% ABV and 50 IBU, with a hazy dark yellow color and a smooth finish that lingers just long enough to invite another sip. The beer was built on a base of 2-Row Pale malt, White Wheat, Rolled Oats, Wheat Flakes, and Malted Oats, giving it a full, soft body that supports the vibrant hop profile.
The 2026 Brewer’s Reserve series will continue throughout the year, with Fremont unveiling a new small-batch, taproom-exclusive beer each month, giving guests at the Urban Beer Garden in Fremont and Columbia City fresh reasons to return and experience limited, experimental and seasonal creations straight from the brewery team.
Southern Tropics Hazy IPA is available now, in 16 oz. 4-packs and on draft, while supplies last. This is a taproom-exclusive release, available only at Fremont’s Urban Beer Garden locations in Fremont and Columbia City.
