Here’s what you can expect at this year’s fest:

• Charity Pumpkin Smash & Carnival Games: Take part in the festivities on the street outside the pub with a charity pumpkin smash with proceeds going to Engines of Change, along with exciting carnival games.

• Harvest Fair: 14 local vendors offering a variety of treats and treasures.

• Food & Drink: Beers, ciders, and cocktails are all available, along with food offerings.

• Costume Contests with Prizes: The fabulous Poison Waters will be your host for the day’s costume contests, featuring categories for babies, kids, adults, and even our four-legged friends. Get creative and stand a chance to win amazing prizes!

• Live Music: We’ll have live music all day with three acts, culminating with Billy and the Ghouls rocking the crowd at the Dead Guy Music Stage, creating a spine-tingling atmosphere that will have you dancing the night away.

Returning for the first time since 2019, Tillamook Cheese presents the Portland Beer and Cheese Fest, an all inclusive celebration of cheese and it's ultimate beer pairings. Founded by master cheesemonger Steve Jones and PDXBeerWeek.com, each of 10 different breweries beers have been expertly paired with a corresponding cheese in this carefully guided tour of flavor.

Portland Beer and Cheese Festival will be held on Sunday, June 25th as part of Portland Beer Week with three different sessions. VIP early entry admission limited to 100 people from 11am - 12pm. General Admission session #1 from 12pm - 2:30pm, and General Admission session #2 from 3-5pm.

Steve Jones is the founder/owner of such seminal shops as Cheese Bar, and the Cheese Annex. In 2011, Steve competed with 40 cheesemongers from around the world to win the 2nd Annual Cheesemonger Invitational in Long Island, New York. Steve has appeared in local and national media outlets, including Portland’s Live Wire radio show and National Public Radio’s The Splendid Table.

In 2012 Steve and Portland Beer Week organizer Ezra Johnson-Greenough teamed with The Commons Brewery owner Mike Wright to found the first ever Portland Beer and Cheese Festival. The event was held every consecutive year moving from the original Commons/Beetje brewery space, to their expanded building on SE Belmont, before one brief year in the location that is now Wayfinder Beer, and several more years at The Bindery Annex home to Culmination Brewing.

In 2023 the Portland Beer and Cheese Fest is returning to one of it's original venues at 628 SE Belmont St
Portland, OR 97214, formerly The Commons Brewery, and now Living Häus Beer Co.

Each festival entry ticket is for a special branded festival glass and all 10 expertly paired beers and cheeses, with complementary charcuterie and chocolate stations, (all included in the admission cost.)

New School Beer + Cider’s long-running PDXbeerweek.com event the New Breweries & Cideries Showcase is a chance to meet the brewers and try the beer/cider from 12 new Oregon producers. This FREE event functions like a 24 draft tap takeover with 2 beers or ciders from each local fermentation specialist. The venue is an indoor and outdoor street party taking over Imperial Bottle Shop & Taproom on SE Division both seated and street closure beer garden.

All beers and ciders are individually priced in different pour sizes, so you can choose your own adventure without a full beer flight commitment (or build your own taster tray.) The brewers themselves will ALL be on hand in-person to talk about their brands and share stories and swag from 4-7pm.

Last held in 2018, Hopworks’ Salmon-Safe IPA Festival will kick off at noon on Earth Day, featuring 20 different beers made with certified Salmon-Safe hops and grain, from 18 brewers in five Western states. 

Participating breweries include Georgetown Brewing, pFriem Family Brewers, Steeplejack Brewing, New Belgium Brewing, Sunriver Brewing, and a collaboration brew from Aslan Brewing and Lost Grove Brewing. The Oregon Brew Crew, an alliance of homebrewers, will also be presenting two beers. In addition, there will be a free Salmon-Safe Grower and Brewer panel discussion.

Tickets are sold for two separate sessions. From Noon to 4:00 pm, all ages are welcome. From 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, only attendees over the age of 21 will be admitted. More info here.

Doors at noon and DJ Whysopod (Daniel Adams of Upstanding Beer and Cider Distribution) gracing us with post funk tunes from 4-8pm. Additionally, Mayfly is now family friendly until 6pm daily, so bring the kiddos by for a soft pretzel and watermelon water, while you sip on our funky line-up!

This will not be a ticketed event.  All Funk Fest pours will be $9/10oz and $4/4oz and come a la carte.  No Crowler or Growler fills allowed. We will also have a West Coast IPA, a Hazy IPA and a Pilsner on draft.

This event will also be the glorious send off of Mayfly employee Jenna Flatten who will be moving home to South Dakota to spend some extra time with her family. If you've ever been to Mayfly while Jenna was working, I'm sure you've never forgotten her. Her bubbliness and general outlook on life are so incredibly infectious that you cant help but smile when she's around!  She will truly be missed and we hope that we can send her off in the best way possible!

The St. Johns Winter Beer Fest is returning to StormBreaker Brewing in N. Portland’s St. Johns neighborhood after a 2-year hiatus. This year will be split into two sessions; 1-4pm and 5-8pm. Entry is $25. Included in this is a souvenir glass and 8 tickets. There will be commemorative t shirts and cool branded beanies from Big Bobble Hats available for sale. Great Notion Brewing is celebrating their birthday for the first time on their 7th anniversary. The party promises a tattoo bus with special GN character tattoos, a mini barrel-aged fest with beers from the cellar, and the release of official 7th anniversary beer 7 Dollar Bill DDH DIPA. We don’t really have any info except the dates September 23-25th for the return of the Oaks Park Oktoberfest. This year-round amusement park and festival grounds by the river has hosted Portland’s longest running Oktoberfest that hasn’t happened for a few years. Viking re-enactors, merchants, demonstrations, and historical and combat re-enactments with about 24 beers on tap at the historical grounds of Fogelbo - a log house and grounds full of walking trails and structures resembling a quaint Swedish Village.

Viking Beer Fest, is a brand new festival happening Saturday, August 20 at the Nordic Northwest campus including Fogelbo! This unique festival showcases the Timberhaven Vikings, a living history and reenactment group. The Vikings will be setting up historical demonstrations, merchants, and combat re-enactments. As night falls we will set up a small fire encampment with the Northwest Viking Alliance. The festival promises live music, even nordic food, mead, and aquavit, plus a small viking ship, and much, much, more.

McMenamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse brewpub in Hillsboro is celebrating their 19th annual brewfest exploring the idyllic grounds, listening to live music, sampling local beers and ciders (32 of them!), and touring the brewery.

Portland and Japan collaboration festival Fuji to Hood is a beer festival featuring 17 breweries, one cidery, and one distillery from Japan, collaborating with 19 of Portland's finest brewers, cidermakers, and distiller on original recipes using select Japanese ingredients. Presented by Culmination Brewing, the Fuji to Hood beer festival also will also feature Japanese cuisine and Japanese-inspired music. Beer, cider, spirits, and Japanese food come together in Portland on July 16th, 2022

Portland Beer Week and SteepleJack Brewing present the inaugural Spile & Spigot cask and firkin beer festival featuring over 15 west coast breweries representing the art of traditional British-style cask beer. The event venue is SteepleJack's majestic 100+ year old church turned brewery, with a full food menu, spirits, and cask selections. 

25+ beers from gravity poured, lightly carbonated firkins, to hand drawn, pump poured real ales will showcase a broad variety of American and European-styles of ales and lagers from some of the best breweries who still specialize in this type of serving technique.
